While we cannot stop the aging process, we can take steps to protect our vision. Regular comprehensive eye exams allow for early detection and treatment of age-related conditions. These exams become increasingly crucial after age 40, with most eye care professionals recommending annual visits for adults over 60.

Protecting eyes from UV radiation with quality sunglasses, maintaining a diet rich in leafy greens and omega-3 fatty acids, not smoking, and managing chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension all contribute to better long-term eye health.
